Christantus Uche Ignites Dominant Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Even though entering their first-ever continental campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting very quickly. Without star players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a commanding win that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly after a prior setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive match.
A Shelbourne side that had finished their league season proved no match against a largely rotated Palace lineup. The visitors were already weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg problems.

Despite heavy rain in Dublin, Palace quickly took control. A flowing move in the 11th minute, sparked by Daichi Kamada's clever pass, let Nketiah to lay on Uche for a straightforward tap-in.
Midfielder Adam Wharton went close soon after, fizzing a long-range shot over the bar. Nketiah subsequently appealed for a penalty after bursting into the area, but the referee dismissed the protests.

The match was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
